Welcome friends,

Here are your "30 Affirmations for Inner Strength and Resilience in the Face of Global Injustice"

By Ayako Gallagher [GriefMattersHere]

September 2024

Here are 30 brand new affirmations (I made some last month) to help navigate feelings of helplessness, fear, and horror in the face of multiple genocides and systemic oppression, and to cultivate a sense of calm and empowerment:

Also, it’s okay if you may not fully believe some of these statements, yet. You can modify each statement so that it resonates with you better.

You can add,

“I am learning to [insert affirmation]”, or

“I am beginning to [insert affirmation].”

That may feel more attainable for you at the moment.

How to Use:

You can start each day with randomly selecting one affirmation or you can choose the statement you feel resonates with your heart in that moment. You can write down, display it on your desk, mirror, fridge or tuck it in your pocket. Another idea is to write it down in an alarm and set it to repeat throughout the day.

1. I recognize that my voice matters, and I use it for justice and truth.

2. I nurture my spirit, knowing that inner peace strengthens my resolve.
